The Telangana Rashtra Samithi led by K Chandrasekar Rao is likely to continue its winning run in Telangana in the Lok Sabha elections, exit polls predicted on Sunday.
According to the Times Now-VMR exit poll, the TRS will win 13 of the 17 seats while the Congress will win 2. The BJP and MIM will bag one seat each, says the poll. The India TV-CNX exit poll predicted that the TRS will win 14 seats, Congress 2 and AIMM one.
News24-Chanakya claimed that the TRS will win 14 to 16 seats with the Congress, BJP and MIM to get zero to one seat each. According to the Republic-C Voter exit poll, KCR’s party will secure 14 seats, Congress BJP and MIM will win a seat each.
The CNN News18-IPSOS gave the TRS 12 to 14 seats and the Congress between 1 and 2 seats. The BJP will win one to two seats, while the MIM will win one, it said.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the TRS won 11 of 17 seats in the state. The Congress won two seats, while the BJP, TDP, YSRCP and MIM managed to win a seat each.
This time the TRS is contesting on all 17 seats time. Both the national parties — the BJP and the Congress — have not formed a pre-poll alliance in Telangana and contested all the seats in the state.

The TRS swept the assembly polls in 2018 winning 88 out of 119 seats. The Congress won 19 out of the 100 seats it contested. Its alliance partner, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), won two seats. The other allies, the Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) and Communist Party of India (CPI) could not win any seats.
KCR, as the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K Chandrasekar Rao is popularly called, is trying to form a federal front of non-Congress and non-BJP parties.
The Telangana chief minister has already held meetings with key opposition leaders such as Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, DMK president MK Stalin, JD(S) boss HD Deve Gowda and Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan among others.
Exit polls often get it wrong and the actual results will only be known on Thursday, May 23rd when votes are counted.
