A dossier of such party leaders is being prepared and then action will be taken against the guilty.

“Banerjee has made it clear that corruption will not be tolerated at any cost, be it on the part of government officials or party leaders. She has asked the state Intelligence Branch (IB) to gather information against a number of party leaders, especially in the districts, who have been allegedly involved in corruption,” said a state minister and a senior party leader of the Trinamool Congress.

A senior state intelligence officer said: “We have asked our District Intelligence Branch (DIB) officials to gather information regarding some persons.”
