Rajkahini (2015)

The actress played Begum Jaan, the head of a brothel, in Srijit Mukherji’s film on Partition. From the permed hair, nose ring to the hookah, Rituparna has sported a completely new look in this films. Not to forget how she dubbed in a husky voice.

Biye Not Out (2014)

Rituparna took her fans by surprise with her look in Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha’s comedy film. She sported a short bob hairstyle in the film.

Alik Sukh (2013)

In this psychological thriller, Rituparna went de-glam to play Rammani, the wife of a renowned gynecologist, Dr Kingshuk Guha (played by Debshankar Haldar). In previous films like Rituparno Ghosh’s Dahan (1997) and Utsab (2000), the actor had sported a no make-up look to fit the roles.

Muktodhara (2012)

A bun, high neck blouses with cotton saris and unique neck pieces, Rituparna played Niharika, a dancer who reforms convicts of the correctional cells. The character was modelled on dancer Alokananda Roy.

Bedeni (2011)

Rituparna was almost unrecognisable in Anjan Das’s film. She played a snake-charmer and went completely dusky. The film was extensively shot in the interiors of Purulia.

Charuulata 2011 (2012)

Rituparna Sengupta looked sizzling with her backless photographs on the film’s poster. The actress, played Chaiti, a housewife who is unhappy in her marriage. She falls for young Amal. Her bold look surely upped the hotness quotient.

Chaturanga (2008)

As Damini, a young Hindu widow, in Suman Mukhopadhyay’s film, which was based on Rabindranath Tagore’s work, Rituparna put in a lot of effort to get into the skin of the character. With long hair, white saris and minimal make-up, Rituparna infused life into the character.

Trishna (2008)

Said to be a remake of Bipasha Basu starrer Jism, Rituparna Sengupta went on to flaunt a bold avatar. Her character Tiasha in the film wore short dresses and the West Bengal Film Publicity Act objected for showing too much skin.
