MP: Hassle-free atmosphere on top of industrialists' wish list

Though chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced a number of measures at the MSME meet on Wednesday to offer more facilities to industrialists, the latter in their one-to-one interaction with the former registered their grievances and placed their wish list before him.

Some industrialists said once they decided to invest in the state they could do without subsidy but they would certainly want a hassle-free atmosphere in the state.
The industrialists wanted a change in the approach of the departments like food and drug control department, changes in some laws like labour law and also good governance.
The industrialists' grievances were related to want of an effective single window system and adequate infrastructure. Chouhan is understood to have assured the industrialists that he would look into their every problem and was committed to providing a hassle-free atmosphere in the state.
"Overall their feedback is positive and there came some suggestions also. The industrialists wanted some changes in some laws and also the working in certain departments. We will look into their grievances," said Chouhan talking to the Hindustan Times on the sidelines of the Global Investors' Summit.
A flurry of activities was also witnessed at the summit venue with who's who of the government being present. After the MSME meet, the CM chose to have a one-to-one, closed door interaction with the industrialists and listened to their suggestions and grievances.
Principal secretaries to CM, Iqbal Singh Bains and SK Mishra were seen coordinating between the CM and the industrialists while also making all attempt that nothing went wrong during the summit.
While some were not satisfied, some were, however, satisfied. "The CM was very patient and we are satisfied with the facilities. Problems are everywhere," said Alain Olivier, consul and director of the Quebec office in India.
