Waterman?s words of wisdom

“WITH SO much water in UP, you are pampered children of god,” said waterman Rajender Singh to Lucknowites. “In Rajasthan, we do not have as much water and thus feel that god is always angry with us,” he added.

Citing Rahul Mahajan’s example, he went on to say, “But just be careful, that you do not meet his fate. He was a pampered child. Once a pampered child goes berserk, it becomes very difficult to discipline him. Discipline yourself before it is too late; start respecting water before UP becomes a water deficient, instead of a water efficient, state.” He was here on the occasion of the Ground Water Day.

Terror in Narhi
OFFICIALS OF  the Lucknow Municipal Corporation, LESA, Jal Sansthan and Police are afraid of venturing into Narhi due to fear of corprator Atul Yadav Bantu, notorious for bashing up government officials . He has developed an expertise of sort in creating hurdles in the way of government officers. He has beaten police constables on three occasions and has held hostage LMC officials on several occasions.

According to Nagar Swasthya Adhikari BBS Rathore, he has left visiting Narhi after the corporator held him captive for two hours and misbehaved with him. It seems either the powers that be are not aware of his nefarious acts or have closed their  eyes to his misdeeds.

Playing games
A FACULTY member at KGMU is seeking promotion on the basis of internship sponsored by a medical firm. He remained senior resident for two years out of which one year was sponsored by a pharma company, which can not be counted for promotion as per the rules. This faculty member not only attained a certificate of internship for two years but also put forward a request to get promotion.

However, senior faculty members got an idea of his game and they have kept the matter of his promotion in hanging balance. No one is ready to sign his promotion letter. They fear if the matter gets opened, the one who signs the letter will also be caught for fraud.
