The ATS gets a step closer towards solving the Mumbai blasts case, report Abhishek Sharan and Rahul Das.
The Anti-Terrorist Squad on Friday got a step closer towards solving the 11/7 train blasts conspiracy with the arrest of four Lashkar-e-Tayyebba men. Sources said one of the men was suspected of being a bomber who, along with 13 other accomplices, placed explosives on seven suburban trains in Mumbai on July 11.

While three men — Mohammed Sajid Ansari, Mohammed Shafi and Abdul Wahiuddin — were arrested from Thane on Friday, the suspected bomber, Mohammed Majid, was arrested in Kolkata on Thursday. The four were remanded in ATS custody till October 13.
Investigators, who insisted on anonymity, said the arrested men were believed to have played a "vital, deep role in plotting and executing the blasts under directions of their boss and blasts mastermind Faisal Sheikh", who is in custody.
A senior blasts investigator said Faisal revealed the names of these four men during the multiple narco-analysis tests he was put through at Bangalore's Forensic Sciences Laboratory.
The total number of arrests in the case now stands at 14.
