Nitish's DNA went wrong after aligning with Lalu: BJP leader Rudy

BJP leader and Union minister of state for skill development and entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Wednesday claimed that under the leadership of Lalu Prasad, the grand alliance of RJD, JD (U) and Congress was out to create a division between upper and lower castes to get political mileage in the assembly polls in Bihar.

Rudy said the evil designs of the RJD president would not succeed, because the people of the state would reject his divisive politics.

At the ‘Swabhiman’ rally in Patna on Sunday, Prasad had seemingly played the Mandal card in a bid to revive backward unity.

“After coming in association with the RJD chief, Kumar’s DNA has definitely been affected,” said Rudy, referring to the chief minister’s answer to PM Narendra Modi’s DNA barb against him.

He said Kumar lost his good sense after joining forces with the RJD president, who had cast a spell on the chief minister.

Rudy spoke about the Bihar CM’s discussion of a vision document for the next five years. “I want to ask whether he governed the state without having a vision,” he said.

Referring to the special package given to Bihar, he said that when Kumar could not spend even a small budget, how would he be able to handle such a huge package. The BJP has been insisting that a change of government in Bihar is necessary to properly utilise the central package.

The union minister said that Kumar had become ‘’garrulous’’ and “quarrelsome’’ like his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal. “Here I want to make it quite clear that now Bihar needs a government, which can move in tandem with the union government for deriving the maximum benefit from the central schemes,” he averred.

On the CM’s claim that he belonged to a family of freedom fighters, Rudy said it was not Kumar’s family alone, but entire population of India which should be credited for achieving freedom.

Pointing towards the law and order situation, Rudy said 14,443 crimes against public order were committed in the state last year.
