The police have decided to conduct narco-analysis, brain mapping and lie-detector tests on Dr Upendra and his driver-cum-quack Jagdish.

Officials probing the 'global kidney racket' feel the tests would be of great help in extracting vital inputs about the gang and its network. “They have still not divulged crucial details. Conducting these tests on Dr Upendra and his aide Jagdish will provide us a chance to extract more information," said Moradabad SSP Prem Prakash. He said the sophisticated techniques used during the tests would give the investigating teams an opportunity to peep into their minds.
"As the investigating teams were engrossed in formalities after the arrest of the gang members, they got little time for a thorough interrogation," the SSP said. He said the investigators required more time to extract information with the help of sophisticated medical and scientific tests.
States’ help sought
The Moradabad police have also sent a list of all the accused in the kidney racket and their possible links to the Director Generals of Police (DGP) of all states, the Central Bureau of Investigation and other investigating agencies.
As the racket’s tentacles spread far and wide than earlier thought, the police here are trying to gather all possible inputs from law-enforcing and investigating agencies of the states where the gang’s connections have already been traced.
So far, the network has been unearthed in states like Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. Links with Greece, Canada and Dubai have also been traced.
