The Germans are in Indore on the invitation of Government Dental College Dean B M Shrivastav, whose son had gone to Germany as an exchange student sent by Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune.

Bohringer, who was the final-year-student during Shrivastav’s son’s studying days at the International Film School, Cologne (IFS), was the team leader for projects handed to the visitors. Pasler — the final-year-student at FH Dortmund during that period — was also a part of the team.

The duo said that the script would be completed within four months and they are going to Goa for a bit of sea and sand to relax them and put them in the frame of mind required for penning a commercially viable road movie covering several parts of north India. The project aims at hopefully combining the Indian and German film industry and to pool in the talent and resources.

The locations and cast have yet to be finalised as the enormity of the country offering diverse regional conditions has widened the scope. The cast would include actors from both countries.

Arriving in the City on the eve of Diwali, they emphasised upon the host family their intention of celebrating the festival of lights. Having knowledge on Indian religion, spirituality and Hindu mythology, they blended with the crowds on the street and enjoyed the decorations and ‘rangoli’.

During their earlier part of the stay in various cities of Maharashtra they got a chance to be a part of the ‘matki fod’ competition, immersion of Ganesha idols during Ananth Chaturdashi.
