People from all walks of life are joining hands to pay tribute to the victims.
Many organisations and communities have come forward to pay homage to the departed souls by holding yagyas, torchlight processions, offering namaz and puja.The district bar association organized a ‘Shanti Yagna’ at Victoria Park.

Minister in the State Government Swami Omvesh, divisional commissioner Mohnider Singh and Bar office-bearers, along with their members, participated in the yagya.People appreciated the social gesture of sex workers who took out a candlelight march under the aegis of  ‘Sankalp’, an NGO. They announced they would contribute funds for relief work.  “Our aim was to show that they were also part of the society and equally sad at such tragedies,” explained Atul Sharma, president of the NGO.

Many associations and schools also shared the grief of affected families.
Help is pouring in the form of donations and medicines from in and outside the town. Handloom traders handed over a cheque for Rs 1 lakh to divisional commissioner Mohinder Singh for relief work. Similarly, schools offered free education to children of affected families.  Residents of Pandav Nagar also organised a Shanti yagya. People lit candles at many places to pay homage to fire victims.
