In another major attack, Maoists attacked the Sahebganj- Danapur Inter city express (13235) between Bhagalpur and Jamalpur on Saturday evening, killing three government railway policemen and injuring three others seriously, including a woman.

They also abducted one GRP jawan, while looting 3 Insas rifles, an AK-47 and a carbine carried by the GRP personnel. The injured could be moved to hospital only around 7.45pm, when police reinforcements alerted of the incident, arrived at the site.
This is the second such attack on a train by the Maoists, after the first on June 13 this year. Maoists had then attacked the Dhanbad-Patna inter city train at Jamui, in which three people were killed and weapons of the GRP looted.
