Hemant Soren confident of trust vote victory

Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren on Monday exuded confidence that his government would comfortably sail through the July 18 trust vote but not before he sought Divine blessings for a tough job head.

“There is nothing to worry for the legislators who are under the scanner of law. While the law will take its course, the legislators would be legally present in the assembly to cast their vote,” Soren said at the Central Coalfield Limited (CCL) rest house in Rajrappa. He was addressing media persons.

On speaker CP Singh refusing to resign, he said the government will follow the norms of Constitution. “There is a provision to remove the Speaker by impeachment,” he said.

Earlier to in the day, Soren visited the Maa Chhinmastika temple in Rajrappa with his entire family and performed prayers.

At the temple, he said, “The law and order at different temples of Jharkhand including Rajrappa will be improved.” He said this in the light of the blasts at the Bodh Gaya temple. Rajrappa is a ancient temple that pulls large crowds of worshippers round the year and is declared one of the shaktipeeths of the Goddess of power.

Hemant Soren said that people have a lot of expectations from the new government and assured that he will leave no stone unturned to fulfill all the expectations. “We will flow the Ganges of development in Jharkhand.”

From Ranchi to Rajrappa, the chief minister and his family -- including his father and JMM supreme Sibu Soren -- were a accorded tumultuous welcome by JMM workers.

In Ramgarh, a town large number of JMM workers besides Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) workers welcomed the chief minister. The JMM workers were present at the football ground with the portraits of Hemant Soren and Sibu Soren. Soren was also accompanied by mother Rupi, wife Kalpna and two children.
