The first post-monsoon poll survey undertaken by the Congress has rung alarm bells among its ranks and files in Chhattisgarh. The party has slided down considerably as compared the earlier surveys where it had an upperhand over the BJP.

In the 90-member Chhattisgarh Assembly, the survey did not give the Congress party more than 35 seats. The NCP led by VC Shukla, is being billed as the party to watch as it may damage the electoral prospects of several Congress candidates.
