While one company worker had died in the fire, two managers Ram Bhanushali and Ramesh Savla have been reported missing, feared dead. While the police refused to confirm it, fire officials said the remains found were of the duo.
Navi Mumbai Fire Officer RT Mhatre said, "The remains of the two have been found in the company. Further details will be given by the police."
When contacted, Police Sub-Inspector Afzal Pathan of Nerul police station said, "Some particles were found on November 17 on the fourth and fifth floor of the building on fire. We had sent them to the Anatomy department of JJ Hospital in Mumbai. The hospital has confirmed that they are bone remnants. We have no other information on it."
Said a police official, on condition of anonymity, "It is highly unlikely that we shall find the body of the deceased. When iron and metal inside the building have melted due to the tremendous heat, how can any human or human body survive."
