The Sangh is holding a brain storming session of its prant pracharaks (regional heads) at Dhar in Madhya Pradesh from July 3-5 to take stock of future programmes of the RSS. Informal meetings will continue till July 8.
Three crucial states — Maharashtra, Haryana, Jharkhand — are going to poll later this year and the BJP sees a chance to return to power. Election for Delhi assembly may also coincide with these polls.
The RSS is also contemplating some changes in organisational roles of its pracharaks who active in the BJP
“Over a 100 people will attend this meeting of prant pracharaks. We will take stock of the training session held during summer vacations and discusses future programmes of Sangh,” RSS’ publicity chief Manmohan Vaidya told HT.
Vaidya dismissed that any political discussion would take place during the event, but sources in the RSS claim senior Sangh functionaries will put a stamp on Amit Shah’s elevation as BJP president at this meet.
Through this meeting, the RSS would also encourage the youth towards nation building. “The thinking has definitely toned down from religious issues and is more aimed towards nation building,” said a RSS source.
The Sangh would also attempt to dissociate itself from the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board scam, which is in news for possible links with some senior RSS and BJP leaders.
