Amitesh Shukla

Amitesh is the son of former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh and senior Congress leader Shyama Charan Shukla. Born in 1957 he completed his B.Com, M.A and LLB before joining politics.

He was elected from his father's constituency Rajim, in Raipur from a Congress ticket during the 1998 Assembly elections.

After the formation of a separate Chhattisgarh state Amitesh Shukla has been appointed as the minister for Panchayat and Social Welfare.
