Amit pulled the trigger, says Kavita

Giving a new twist to the murder case, Mehar's daughter in law Kavita, a key witness to the February 28 incident, told Hindustan Times on Monday that it was Amit Singh who had pulled the trigger on Mehar. This is against the police theory according to which it was Sachin Pahadi who opened fire at Mehar.

Charging the cops with attempting to sidetrack the main issue, Kavita said her mother-in-law actually told her that it was Amit Singh who shot at her. She said it was strange that despite knowing the actual story, the cops were unwilling to act against Singh. Mehar's daughter from her first marriage, Faraha, too told HT the same thing. "My mother told me from her hospital bed that it was Amit Singh who shot at her," she said.
