India vs West Indies: Top 5 Windies players to watch out for
India are touring the Caribbean to play five One-Day Internationals and one Twenty20 International from June 23 to July 9.
Cricket fans will be awaiting some exciting action when India take on hosts the West Indies in five One-Day Internationals (ODI) and one Twenty20 International from June 23 to July 9. While India will be eager to make amends after losing the ICC Champions Trophy final to Pakistan on Sunday, West Indies will try and make an impact after failing to qualify for the elite eight-nation tournament.

We take a look at the top-5 West Indies players to watch out for in the upcoming series:
Jason Holder: If there’s one man this team can look up to, it is probably their skipper Jason Holder. The 25-year-old is the most experienced campaigner in the side and has been pretty consistent since his debut. He’s steady with the bat and is a decent fast bowler and will have to lead by example ahead of the tough series.
Shai Hope: He’s one of the only two batsmen in the side to have an average of more than 30 and that in itself speaks of the amount of responsibility that he has to shoulder while going into the five-match ODI series against India. In the last nine international matches (ODIs and T20s) that the wicket-keeper batsman has featured in, he has two half-centuries to his name.
Jason Mohammed: He’s featured in just 11 ODIs but averages 33.11 in the format with an impressive strike rate of 89.39. Although he had a horrible outing against Afghanistan with scores of 2 and 7 in the two matches that were played, West Indies will hope he plays to his potential as he had against Pakistan, scoring two half-centuries in three matches.
Evin Lewis: Apart from Hope, Lewis is the only other batsman in the squad who has a century to his name. His average of 40.27 is also pretty moderate but West Indies will hope that he adds on to his list of centuries if they were to stand a chance against India. Lewis had scored a T20 ton against India during the last two-match series between the two.
Devendra Bishoo: He’s one of the more experienced players in the side although having played all but 20 One Day Internationals but has an impressive record in the longest format of the game. Bishoo will have to lead the charge from the front as far as the Windies bowling attack will be concerned.
