PM Modi’s 2nd tenure will speed up work on Ram Mandir: Shiv Sena
The Uddhav Thackeray-led party also compared Modi’s swearing-in ceremony to the Rajyaabhishek or coronation ceremonies of Hindu kings.
Reiterating its goal of construction of a grand Ram temple at Ayodhya, the Shiv Sena on Wednesday said a second term for Prime Minister Narendra Modi would expedite the process.

In an editorial in Sena mouthpiece Saamana, the party said the sacrifices of karsevaks won’t go in vain.
“The party with the mindset of Lord Ram has come to power in the Centre,” said the editorial titled ‘Ram’s work will be done’.
“Crores of people have voted it to power so that Ram Rajya can be established in the country, all with the blessings of Lord Ram. Ram is the identity and pride of this country.”
The Uddhav Thackeray-led party also compared Modi’s swearing-in ceremony to the Rajyaabhishek or coronation ceremonies of Hindu kings.
The editorial said Modi would take India to its “past glory” where “farmers won’t be forced to commit suicide, everybody will have two meals a day, people will celebrate their festivals without any burden of debts and barriers of caste and religion will be broken. The dream of Akhand Bharat (undivided India) will be realised and the whole world will hail the country of Lord Ram”.
“Building an ideal nation is akin to building a Ram temple, but the Shiv Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), along with crores of Hindus, have the dream of constructing of a grand temple in Ayodhya,” it said.
The Sena, which had cornered the BJP over the issue, said it is in sync with Modi’s line of erecting a temple on the disputed land, but after the approval of the Supreme Court.
It said the Supreme Court should take into account the feelings and mandate of crores of Indian voters and grant permission to begin construction of the temple.
