Tonga breaks harness, crashes into businessman’s car in Jaipur. Man, horse suffer injuries .
A horse pulling a tonga broke its harness and crashed through the windshield of a car in Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur, police said on Monday.

The accident happened around 1:30pm on Sunday when the city was reeling under searing heat, with the mercury well over 42 degrees Celsius. Police officials said it was likely that the horse went berserk because of the heat and broke its harness.
The horse got stuck inside the car and the accident resulted in injuries for the animal as well as the owner of the vehicle, identified as Pankaj Joshi.
“I had just started my car near Jaipur in Civil Lines area when I heard the sound of breaking of glass. The next moment, I was stuck inside the car with a horse on the seat next to me,” Joshi, who owns an event management business, told HT.

“I sustained injuries in both my hands and somehow managed to get out of the car after the incident,” Joshi said.
As a large crowd assembled at the spot of the accident in the heart of the city, the horse was rescued by bystanders and the police. It was tended to by a team of veterinarians later.
