Narendra Modi News Live: Arvind Kejriwal, during a press conference, responded to PM Modi's comments earlier in the day, stating that he could have built a “sheesh mahal” for himself, but instead chose to create homes for citizens.

In his response he said, “One who builds a house worth ₹2,700 crore for himself, who travels in airplane worth ₹8,400 crore, one who wears ₹10 lakh suit, talking about 'sheesh mahal' doesn't suit his mouth.”

Kejriwal stated, “Had they worked in these 10 years, maybe they would not need to abuse people of Delhi so much today. One who works, he doesn't abuse; one who doesn't work, he contests elections on the basis of abuses.”

He also alleged that in the 2020 manifesto of the BJP, they had promised that everyone would get ‘pucca’ houses by 2022, however till now only 4,700 houses had been built and handed over in comparison to the 4 lakh jhuggis and 15 lakh people who need houses.

Kejriwals said, “Today, PM Modi gave a speech of 43 minutes, in which he abused people of Delhi and the govt chosen by them for around 39 minutes. In 2015, people of Delhi chose two governments for Delhi - BJP-led central govt and AAP-led Delhi govt. It has been 10 years now. If you ask me to tell what all works the AAP govt in Delhi has done in these 10 years, maybe even 2-3 hours will not be sufficient.”
