Home minister Rajnath Singh addressed the issue of violence against Dalits and praised the government’s handling of the situation in Una.
Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, however, created a ruckus in the House over the Una issue, leading to two adjournments.
Congress and Aam Aadmi Party had previously separately served notice on adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha to highlight the atrocities against Dalits, especially in Gujarat, following the brutal assault on them for allegedly skinning the flesh a dead cow.
