Cyclone Vayu Highlights: Power supply disrupted in 560 Gujarat villages
Cyclone Vayu is very likely to cross Gujarat coast between Porbandar and Mahuva as a very severe cyclonic storm, today. India’s west coast hunkers down as Cyclone Vayu approaches
Pakistan’s meteorological department issued an alert on Thursday, warning fishermen to stay inland this week as the cyclone could cause rough sea conditions.
The cyclone was not likely to directly impact the southern port city of Karachi, but the department said in a statement that the weather system could cause dust storms and rains in various parts of the southern Sindh province.

Cyclone Vayu very likely to move nearly north-northwestwards along Saurashtra coast affecting Amreli, Gir Somnath, Diu,Junagarh, Porbandar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka and Kutch district of Gujarat with wind speed 155-165 kmph gusting to 180 kmph likely from today afternoon, IMD reports.
