BJP leader's ‘sacrifice’ jibe at Rahul. Khera says ‘politics should not kill…’
The Congress recently tweeted a photo of the former party chief in the driver's seat of a car, and said, “Savarkar samjha kya... naam- Rahul Gandhi hai.”
Congress's tweet mocking RSS ideologue Vinayak Damodar Savarkar has triggered a war of words between party leader Pawan Khera and BJP leader Khushbu Sundar. On Sunday, Congress took a jibe at the government saying “Savarkar samjha kya... naam Rahul Gandhi hai” as the Delhi Police questioned its former party chief over his "women still being sexually assaulted" remark.

Khushbu Sundar shared a video purportedly showing the prisoner's cell in Andaman where Savarkar was kept during the British rule and asked Rahul Gandhi if he can “dream of surviving in this space for a few days.”
“Your party is not mocking “Veer Savarkar”, it’s mocking his sacrifice for the Bharatmata! [By the way] what do you know about sacrifice?” she tweeted.
Hitting back at Khusbu Sundar, Congress's media and publicity department head Pawan Khera said, “The man who saw two important members of his family make the supreme sacrifice for India, is being asked if he understands sacrifice.”
“Politics should not kill the human being in you. Even if it kills your logic,” he added.
Defending her remarks, Khushbu Sundar said India remembers the sacrifices of those two but Gandhi ridicule others “who gave up their lives for the the country.”
“Indeed the country remembers them, And so do I. But alas, it was not the two members alone who sacrificed for the nation. Let us remember many such warriors who gave up their lives for the the country,” she said in a tweet.
“Unfortunately Mr. Gandhi seems to be riding on the sacrifices his family has made and does nothing but ridicule others. He needs to grow up and understand the true meaning of sacrifice. And human in me is alive, thus my exit from INC,” said Khushbu Sundar who started her political career with Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and joined Congress in 2014 before switching to BJP.
