There’s anxiety and anticipation among the state’s nearly 33 million applicants whether their names would be included in the list that aims to prove citizenship and weed out illegal immigrants.

Here’s is how to check if your name has been included in the complete NRC draft:

# Applicants can visit their designated NRC seva kendras (NSKs), the ones where they submitted their application and check their names in the printed copies. The facility would be available across the NSKs from 10:00am to 4:00pm between July 30, 2018, to September 28, 2018, on all working days.

# Those who had pre-registered their mobile numbers by sending a text message to numbers given by NRC will get their details through SMS after the complete draft is made public at 10am on July 30. Pre-registration was closed at 6:00pm on July 29.

# Applicants can also check their names in the complete draft online on the following websites: www.nrcassam.nic.in, www.assam.mygov.in, www.assam.gov.in, www.homeandpoliticalassam.gov.in

# Those who had not pre-registered their mobile numbers can send SMS to 7899405444 or 7026321133 or 7026861122 or 9765556555 after 12:00pm on July 30 in the format ARN space ARN to get information of their status. ARN stands for Application Receipt Number (ARN) given to all applicants. For example, applicants can type ARN 101856721980000087961 and send an SMS to the mobile numbers.

# Applicants can also call the 24x7 toll free helpline numbers 15101 (from Assam) and 18003453762 (from outside the state) to know about their status in the complete draft.
