Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal reads out Delhi CM's message for AAP MLAs: ‘Just because I am in jail…’

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal held another press conference on Thursday, April 4 and read out the jailed chief minister's message. In the Delhi chief minister's message from jail, he has asked AAP MLAs to visit their areas daily and ensure people don't face any problems, Sunita Kejriwal said.

"Arvind Kejriwal has sent a message to all MLAs: 'Just because I am in jail, the people of Delhi should not suffer in any way. Every MLA should visit their area every day and discuss people's problems and sort them out'...," Sunita Kejriwal said.

The press conference comes a day after AAP MP Sanjay Singh walked out of the Tihar jail after six months and later, met Sunita Kejriwal at her residence in the national capital.

Arvind Kejriwal, arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case linked to the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy, is lodged in the Tihar jail under judicial custody till April 15.

Notably, Kejriwal's wife, Sunita, who stayed away from politics while her husband was at the helm, has come out with three impassioned video statements in the recent past.

In the last video message on March 29, Sunita Kejriwal announced the ‘Kejriwal ko Aashirwad’ campaign, urging people to support her husband.

In a digital media briefing, Sunita Kejriwal said her husband has challenged the "most corrupt and dictatorial forces" in the country and asked people to support him through their blessings and prayers.

Issuing two WhatsApp numbers -- 8297324624 and 9700297002 -- Sunita Kejriwal said people can send their blessings, prayers or any other messages to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and she will communicate those to him.
