Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury is the soul of Bohemian Rhapsody trailer. Watch video
Bryan Singer was the first director of Bohemian Rhapsody, but he was replaced with Dexter Fletcher halfway into the film.
Bohemian Rhapsody might be a biographical drama on singer Freddie Mercury, but it’s more like a celebration of British rock band Queen’s foot-tapping numbers that were such a rage in the ‘80s.

Rami Malek (Mr Robot) plays Mercury and gets the audience to the beginning of the band formation, and how it was different from other bands of its time.
The directors, Bryan Singer and Dexter Fletcher, get the essence of Queen right when he begins the trailer with their hit songs and slowly takes it to Mercury’s personal story.
The trailer doesn’t try to make Bohemian Rhapsody look like a serious drama, but it gives ample hints towards its conflict that is the ‘unconventional’ lifestyle of Mercury.
The film was a long time in the making. In fact, at a point, the studio fired Bryan Singer and replaced him with Dexter Fletcher (Eddie The Eagle).
It begins with the idea of how Mercury changed Queen’s music and ends at the legendary Live Aid concert of 1985, six years before the death of Mercury.
The 90-second trailer also gets the enigma around the band correct with some really good background score selection. However, it works more because of nostalgia than the incredible thought process behind making those songs.
The film also features Ben Hardy, Gwilym Lee and Joseph Mazzello in important roles.
Will the film rock us? We will know only when it hits the screens on October 24 in United Kingdom, and November 2 in the USA.
