Johnny Depp divorce: New images of a beaten, bruised Amber Heard emerge

New photographs of a beaten, cut and bruised Amber Heard have surfaced online after the actor filed for divorce from her husband of 15 years Johnny Depp alleging repeated abuse.

New photographs of a beaten, cut and bruised Amber Heard have surfaced online after the actor filed for divorce from Johnny Depp, her husband of 15 months, alleging repeated abuse.

The images come courtesy People and were taken by Heard herself after a particularly violent altercation in December, 2015.

Her face is bruised and her lip cut. She also has scratch marks around her face and a black eye.

A judge ruled that Depp must remain at least 100 yards away from Heard until their next hearing, which is scheduled for late June this year. (People)

‘She was really too young to settle down. Johnny knew this but was blown away by her. He was attracted to the same things about her that he couldn’t handle,’ said a source. (People)

‘Johnny and Amber’s relationship was always toxic,’ a source close to the couple told People. (People)

A source close to Depp added; ‘Johnny tends to get moody and difficult and go into himself when things aren’t right in a relationship. When he gets like that, he can act nasty. It doesn’t make for a good marriage.’ (People)

Last week, Heard’s lawyers announced that they would be pressing charges against Depp, but recent unconfirmed reports from Daily Mail suggest that Heard has had a ‘change of heart’.

According to the 30-year-old Heard, Depp was ‘physically and verbally abusive’ for the ‘entirety’ of their relationship. Depp has denied all allegations, saying that he wants to put this short marriage behind him.

In addition to these photos, screenshots of text messages exchanged between Heard and Depp’s assistant Stephen Deuters have also found their way online. These images, courtesy Entertainment Tonight, reveal a conversation Heard had with Deuters about Depp’s frequently violent behaviour.
