It Chapter 2 trailer is here and fans are wetting themselves in fear: ‘Mom, come pick me up I’m scared’

Warner Brothers have released the first teaser trailer for their upcoming and highly anticipated horror film, It: Chapter 2. The film is the sequel to hit 2017 movie and picks up 27 years after the first one.

The Losers Club is all grown up and stars like Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy and Bill Hader have reformed the hunting party to bring an end to evil clown Pennywise’s terror on their haunted home town of Derry. The trailer is one of the spookiest ever and the first couple of minutes are the most tense.

Jessica, who plays the grown-up Beverly in the film, returns to her childhood home where she was abused by her father. 27 years later, an old woman lives there and invites her into her home for tea. Of course, the tea party doesn’t go too well. “You know what they say about Derry. No one who dies here ever really dies,” the elderly woman tells Beverly in the scene.

We then meet the rest of the Losers Club members. James plays the grown up Bill, Bill Hader plays foul-mouthed Richie and James Ransone plays previously hypochondriac, Eddie. The kids have to face Pennywise, played by Bill Skarsgard, once again after letting him slip through their fingers all those years ago.

The scary new trailer left Twitter cowering in fear. Several users talked about the creepy granny while others could not wait for the Losers Club to come together again. Of course there are more than enough memes and hilarious jokes about the trailer as well. Check out a few:

The horror drama is an adaptation of Stephen King’s classic horror tale of the same name. Andy Muschietti has directed the first and the upcoming sequel as well. The earlier released It became a huge box office hit, earning over $700 million worldwide.

It: Chapter 2 will hit the theatres on September 6.
