Deadpool dancing to Ranveer Singh’s Khalibali is your new anthem
Before you watch Deadpool 2, check out this mash-up video in which Ryan Reynolds’ superhero dances to Ranveer Singh’s Khalibali, from Padmaavat.
Ahead of the release of Deadpool 2, the hotly anticipated superhero sequel starring Ryan Reynolds, a mash-up video set to the tunes of Khalibali, the song from the historical epic Padmaavat, is being shared online.
In the video, a couple of dancers dressed as Spider-Man and Deadpool (complete with a Hello Kitty backpack) can be seen dancing on a stage. Only, the song that is playing in the background isn’t DMX’s X Gon’ Give it to Ya, but Khalibali, originally picturised on Ranveer Singh in the film Padmaavat.
Ranveer, who played the villainous Alaudin Khilji in Padmaavat, is voicing Deadpool in the Hindi dub version of the film, with YouTuber Bhuvam Bam filling in for Karan Soni as Deadpool’s sidekick, Dopinder.
Deadpool - the character - isn’t averse to dancing. He recently performed some ballet in a music video with Celine Dion.
Sharing the Hindi trailer for the film, Ranveer had written, “Astonishing how effectively I’ve managed to out-crass my Canadian counterpart @VancityReynolds. Never realised how fulfilling & rewarding foul Hindi language can be!”
Reynolds replied to his tweet in characteristic tongue-in-cheek manner. “Well if I tried to curse in Hindi, pretty sure there would be an international incident,” he wrote.
Deadpool 2 also stars Josh Brolin as Cable, Zazie Beetz as Domino, TJ Miller as Weasel, Morena Baccarin and Julian Dennison, among others. A third film featuring the character has already been planned.
