Avengers Endgame to screen 24x7 in India, new shows to be added: reports
Avengers Endgame is on its way to become a record breaking movie phenomenon in India. Cinema hall chains have sought permission to screen the film post midnight as well.
With a million tickets sold in advance already, cinema hall owners are milking Avengers: Endgame as much as possible. A report in Bollywood Hungama says that the upcoming Marvel mammoth will be screened 24x7 in India.

According to the website, a multiplex chain has got the permission to screen the film post midnight throughout India. Laws in India state the no movie screening should start after midnight but looks like Avengers just might bend the rules for itself.
A source from a multiplex chain told Bollywood Hungama, “The permission came through today and we were informed of the same verbally. The permission however is given only for Avengers: Endgame. We are now sitting down to chalk the programming for these post-midnight shows. However, as of now we are planning to have these shows only in A-tier cities and especially in IMAX and 4DX versions.” The report also mentions that a new show for 3.20 am has opened for bookings in Mumbai’s Carnival IMAX in Wadala.

Ticket booking app BookMyShow has witnessed a record advance ticket sale with one million tickets sold in just over a day. The app witnessed a peak of 18 tickets per second, even before the film releases in cinemas on April 26 in India in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Avengers: Endgame is the 22nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the latest after Captain Marvel, which released last month. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on Monday: “Avengers: Endgame advance booking is unheard of, unimaginable and unprecedented. Much better than several Hindi biggies that opened in 2018 and 2019.”
The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson and Brie Larson, amongst others. It releases on Friday, April 26.
