Man found hanging from underpass at Rajiv Chowk in Gurugram
The guard, who was found sleeping nearby, was let off after his version of the events were corroborated by his friend.
An unidentified man aged between 28 to 30 years allegedly hanged himself with the grille of the underpass at Rajiv Chowk on Sunday night.

The police recovered the body at 8am on Monday and detained a security guard deployed at the spot. The guard was found sleeping. The spot is located about 250 metres from the mini secretariat and nearly 0.5 km from the police commissioner’s office.
The body has been preserved at a mortuary and the police are yet to establish the identity of the victim.
“The security guard was detained as he was found sleeping near the spot. He, however, told us that he had taken his friend’s new motorcycle for a test ride after getting drunk, and he did not know anything about the case,” said Narender Khatana, SHO, Civil Lines police station. The police found the motor cycle parked 200 metres from where the guard was sleeping, with its keys in the ignition.
The guard, whose identity has not been revealed, was let off after his version of the events were corroborated by his friend. The guard’s wife, who stays in Badshahpur, was contacted by the police when she went searching for him at Iffco Chowk.
