Girl molested, 8-year-old boy sodomised in two incidents
Police said the girl told her mother that an “uncle” from their neighbourhood came to their rented room when she was at work and assaulted her.
A 21-year-old daily wager was arrested for allegedly molesting a five-year-old girl in a village near Sector 83 on Thursday night.

Shakuntala Yadav, assistant commissioner of police (ACP), crime against women, south, said the girl’s mother went to the man’s house to confront him.
“His house was found locked. The mother waited for him to return and later informed the police. A police team arrested the man, a labourer, from the neighbourhood at night,” said Yadav.
According to the police, the girl said that the suspect is an acquaintance and had entered the house, telling her he wanted to play with her.
“She said the man touched her inappropriately and kissed her,” a police officer privy to the investigation, requesting anonymity, said.
A case was registered against the man under Section 8 (sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), said police.
In another case, an eight-year-old boy was allegedly sodomised by a 14-year-old boy in a village in Sohna on Wednesday. Police said the incident was reported on Thursday after the boy told his father.
Jai Prakash, sub-inspector (SI), Sohna City police station, said the boys are neighbours and often played together in the village.
“The eight-year-old told his father that the older boy had taken him to an isolated place and sexually assaulted him,” Prakash said.
A police officer privy to the investigation, requesting anonymity, said that another minor boy had helped the 14-year-old.
Police said the boy is yet to be apprehended.
A case was registered under Section 6 (aggravated sexual penetrative assault) of the POCSO Act at Sohna City police station on Thursday.
