Drunk men fight outside Gurugram’s Sahara Mall, video hits social media
No case was filed as none of the people involved approached the police with a complaint.
Two groups of men got into a brawl outside Sahara Mall on Mehrauli-Gurugram road on Saturday night, police said.

Police said over six to seven men, who were known to each other, exited the mall and got into a scuffle outside Vipul Agora building adjacent to Sahara Mall.
Inspector Ram Kumar, station house officer, sector 29 police station, said that it was a minor scuffle between some men from Sikandarpur between 12.30am and 1 am.
“The dispute was resolved as the parties in the dispute decided to settle the issue after discussion. No one was seriously injured and no case was registered,” Kumar said. A video of the brawl was, however, circulated on social media platforms showing the men dragging and hitting each other.
A police officer privy to the matter and requesting anonymity, said the men were drunk and personal enmity was suspected to be the reason for the incident. No case was filed as none of the people involved approached the police with a complaint.
The Mehrauli-Gurugram Road, popularly known as MG Road, has earned a notoriety of late after repeated incidents of drunken brawls and alleged immoral activities at certain pubs along the 2.5 kilometre stretch called ‘Mall Mile’.
In July, Gurugram police had raided four pubs and arrested 17 bar owners on the charge of immoral activities.
Residents of MG Road have also been taking to the streets to protest against the rising crime graph in the area.
On July 22, over 500 residents had taken out a candle light march in support of the police crackdown against alleged immoral activities on MG Road.
Arunabh Bhattacharya, a banking professional who moved to Gurugram from Delhi in 2011, said, “MG Road has become a hub of all criminal activities, including open drinking on roads, which is rampant and leads to frequent scuffles. The administration should revoke licences of the pubs and bars that have links to the flesh trade business.”
