Kajol has all the power at home: Ajay Devgn at HT Most Stylish awards

The star-studded evening at the sixth edition of Hindustan Times Mumbai’s Most Stylish awards saw many Bollywood A-listers. Deepika Padukone walked in in a floor-length, flow-y black dress. Pariniti Chopra sported a striped, bright orange, asymmetrical ball gown dress. Rani Mukherjee walked in in a red-jacket, and newcomer Harshvardhan Kapoor.

However, the show was, hands down, stolen by the glamorous Bollywood couples – Ajay and Kajol Devgan and, and Rishi and Neetu Kapoor.

The very-in-love couple, Devgan and Kajol walked in hand in hand, wearing contrasting colours. They were wedding ready, with Kajol wearing a bejeweled, floor-length white dress, and Devgan sporting a black bandhgala jacket. When asked how long she took to get ready for tonight, Devgan was quick to respond, “I am not sure about tonight, but she’s not a fussy dresser. I don’t remember ever waiting for her to get ready to go somewhere,” he said.

Kajol, who looked loving at him throughout the conversation said, “We don’t really give each other style tips. That’s a conversation we don’t really indulge in. But, we like what we wear, and look good in it,” she said.

The duo also won the Most Stylish Power Couple tonight. On stage, host Manish Paul asked them who had more power in the Devgan household. Ajay was prompt to respond, “Kajol, without a doubt. In the world outside, however, we share it,” he said.

Also present in the audience were the evergreen couple Neetu and Rishi Kapoor. The duo won the Most Stylish Timeless Couple Award. In his acceptance speech, Rishi recalled the shoot for the couple’s hit song Humne Tumko Dekha Tumne Humko Dekha, from Khel Khel Mein (1975). “It was as if the song was a reflection of the relationship I had with her at the time. It was fun,” he said, as Neetu stood next to him, looking radiant in a off-white crystal-studded kurta pajama, with a bright green duppatta and jewelry.
