Germany's climate activists find sanctuary in churches
Churches in Berlin have been opening their doors to climate activists staging protests in the city. The Letzte Generation group has been holding sit-ins and road blockades in the city to pressurise the government to take more action on climate change. The St. Thomas Church and Gethsemane Church have both hosted activists, with the latter staging open discussions on climate change. The churches have defended their action, saying they want to allow protesters to "remain in peace".
