Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Dilip Joshi has responded to rumours of a tiff between him and Raj Anadkat, who plays his son on the sitcom.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Dilip Joshi has rubbished reports of a tiff between him and his co-star Raj Anadkat, who plays his on screen son. Earlier in the week it was reported that the two weren't seeing eye to eye.

In a statement, Dilip, who plays Jethalal on the long-running sitcom, quashed the rumours and wondered where they originated from. He told SpotboyE, "Absolutely rubbish. Who cooks up all these false stories?"

Earlier in the week, Koimoi had quoted a source as saying, "Dilip Joshi is the senior-most actor on sets. Despite working on Taarak Mehta for so many years, he makes sure to be on time. There’s never a delay or effect on the shoot because of him. But Raj recently kept him waiting for an hour or so. What irked him is the fact that it was repeatedly happening.”

The show has been making headlines over its casting and quality. While the fate of actor Disha Vakani remains up in the air -- it is unclear if she will return to play Dayaben on the show -- the directors and cast have also been accused of overseeing a decline in quality.

Responding to these allegations, Dilip said in an appearance on Sorabh Pant's podcast last year, "Jab aap quantity dekhte hai, toh kahin na kahin quality suffer hoti hi hai. Pehle weekly hum karte the aur writers ke paas bohot time hota tha. Chaar episode likhe, doosre chaar episode agle mahine shoot karna hai (When you focus on quantity, the quality does suffer somewhere. Initially, it was a weekly show and the writers had a lot of time. With four episodes being shot per month, they had a gap of a month to write the next four episodes.),” the actor said.
