Kamal Haasan attends Vijay Sethupathi's DSP audio launch event, a day after getting discharged from hospital

Actor Kamal Haasan attended the audio launch event of actor Vijay Sethupathi's upcoming film DSP, a day after he was discharged from a Chennai hospital. Several pictures and videos of the actors standing together on a stage emerged online. In a photo, Vijay Sethupathi stood next to Kamal, on stage, as the latter spoke to the audience. In another photo, Vijay sat on his knees and bowed his head as he presented Kamal with a bouquet on stage. The veteran actor smiled as he took the bouquet from Vijay. For the event, Kamal wore a blue sweatshirt, faded denims and shoes. Vijay opted for a black and white shirt, a vetti, and beige shoes.

In a video, shared on Twitter, Kamal hugged Vijay as they stood on stage. Amid applause from the audience, the two actors smiled and also shook hands. The video was shared with the caption, "What a moment #KamalHaasan @VijaySethuOffl #DSP." In another clip, the two actors sat next to each other in the audience. Vijay's DSP is set to release on December 2 The film has been directed by director Ponram and Vijay will be seen as a police officer.

Kamal's appearance at the event comes just a day after he was discharged from the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre (SRMC). He was hospitalised on November 23, following mild fever, cough, and cold. Later Kamal's team told Hindustan Times that he was discharged and advised to take rest for two days.

Kamal was last seen in Vikram which did a worldwide business of over ₹400 crore. Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Vikram featured Kamal, Vijay and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles. Currently, Kamal is hosting the sixth season of Bigg Boss Tamil. He will be seen in Shankar's Indian 2 and Mani Ratnam's KH 234.

Vijay, apart from DSP, will also be a part of a silent film, titled Gandhi Talks. The dark comedy will be directed by Kishore P Belekar and also feature actors Aditi Rao Hydari and Arvind Swami. Gandhi Talks will release worldwide in 2023.

Vijay will be next in director Sriram Raghvan's upcoming thriller film Merry Christmas alongside Katrina Kaif. Apart from that, he will make his digital debut with Prime Video's upcoming web series Farzi. Helmed by Raj and DK, the series also stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead role.
