When Hrithik Roshan said that 'marriage happens when you find someone special', called it 'consequence not a plan'

Actor Hrithik Roshan had once spoken about his marriage, years after he parted ways with his wife interior designer Sussanne Khan. In an old interview in 2017, Hrithik told Hindustan Times that marriage happens ‘when you find someone special'. He had also said that ‘marriage is a consequence, not a plan'. Hrithik was previously married to Sussanne Khan. They tied the knot in December 2000 and got divorced in November 2014. Hrithik and Sussanne are parents to two sons--Hrehaan Roshan and Hridhaan Roshan. Hrithik is currently dating actor Saba Azad. On his 49th birthday, we bring you an old interview in which he spoke about marriage.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Hrithik had said, “I am happy and fulfilled. I am surrounded by love, and I am creatively satisfied. I don’t think there is anything I miss right now. Marriage or companionship happens when you find someone special. Also, marriage is a consequence, not a plan. So, you can’t plan to get married."

Speaking about his sons, Hrithik had said, “Every actor is busy, but you need to have your priorities sorted and assign time. I love spending time with my kids and we have been doing this (taking vacations) since they’ve been old enough to travel. Our vacations are hard work. There is no time to laze and sleep in the afternoons. The trips are all about overcoming fears.”

Recently, Hrithik, Saba along with his sons and cousin Pashmina Roshan welcomed the New Year together. Pashmina had shared a video on Instagram which she captioned, "Thank you 2022, Hello 2023." In the video, Hrithik lit the sky lanterns and released them. He was helped by his sons as well as Saba.

Rumours about Hrithik and Saba's relationship started when they were spotted out on a dinner date together in February last year. Later, she also joined Hrithik's family for a get-together. The rumours came to an end after the two walked hand-in-hand at actor Karan Johar's 50th birthday bash. The duo frequently gets spotted on different locations and occasions. An official confirmation of their relationship is still awaited.

Hrithik will be next seen in director Siddharth Anand's next aerial action thriller film Fighter opposite Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor. The film is all set to hit the theatres in January 2024. Saba will be next seen in the film Songs of Paradise alongside Soni Razdan.
