Shivaleeka Oberoi to marry Drishyam 2 director Abhishek Pathak in Goa on February 9: Report

Shivaleeka Oberoi and Abhishek Pathak are reportedly marrying later this week. The wedding festivities are set to be held on February 8 and 9 in Goa. The couple met while working on the drama film Khuda Haafiz (2020) directed by Abhishek. Earlier this month, the actor shared an Instagram post of the couple at the beach, with the director commenting 'forever' on her post. Abhishek's sister Amrita also hinted at their upcoming nuptials. Last week, Shivaleeka had shared two dreamy photos of the couple on a beach. She captioned the post with an infinity symbol and wrote, "A sky full of stars, the shore full of starfishes and he was staring at me. Hello February." Abhishek wrote 'forever' accompanied by red heart emojis in the comments section. His sister, actor Amita Pathak Sachar shared, "We can’t wait to start the celebration and have you with us forever." Shivaleeka replied back with loved up and red heart emojis.

The two have been posting photos and videos of themselves together since last year. They had taken a vacation to Cappadocia, Turkey, where they got engaged in July 2022. In an interview with Times of India, Shivaleeka had said, “It hasn’t been very long since we started seeing each other, but when something feels right, it’s right. Abhishek was already shooting for Drishyam 2. We found ways to spend time together despite so many restrictions over the last two years. Our friends could see that we were good for each other. On my birthday, he planned this beautiful surprise for me, without telling any of our friends. The location, the hot-air balloon…it was out of a fairy tale.”

She had added, “So many actresses are married today, and their careers are flourishing. Work and relationships are a part of life and can sail together. Abhishek and I have also broached this subject. We’re both clear that our work life will not change because we’re planning to get married soon.”

Abhishek is the son of producer Kumar Mangat, and directed last year's hit film Drishyam 2. The Hindi remake of the 2021 Mohanlal-starrer of the same name starred Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran and Akshaye Khanna. Shivaleeka made her acting debut with the 2019 thriller Yeh Saali Aashiqui. She was last seen in the sequel Khuda Haafiz 2 with Vidyut Jammwal. The film was directed by Faruk Kabir.
