Rahul Khanna reacts to Janhvi Kapoor's ‘stalking’ comment from KWK, recalls Sridevi's connect with dad Vinod Khanna

Actor Rahul Khanna has reacted weeks after actor Janhvi Kapoor confessed that she stalks him on Instagram. In a new interview, Rahul called Janhvi Kapoor a 'sweet and confident girl'. Rahul also spoke about Janhvi's mother-late actor Sridevi and called her ‘a classic introvert’. He recalled meeting Sridevi when she was shooting with his father-late actor Vinod Khanna. Recently when Janhvi appeared on the chat show Koffee With Karan, she revealed her secret. During her conversation with Karan, Janhvi revealed she stalks Rahul. She also said, “I think he has got a vibe. He’s got energy. I think he’s hot." Janhvi was part of the show, hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar, with actor Sara Ali Khan.

Speaking with News 18, Rahul said, “I haven’t actually seen the show but I was thoroughly updated by every one of Janhvi’s comment. It’s so sweet of her to say it. I don’t think I have met her but I know her father (Boney Kapoor) very well."

He also added, “I have also met her mother (Sridevi) when she was shooting with my dad (Vinod Khanna) on a film set many years ago. I remember her being a classic introvert and I guess that is what connected me with her as I am an introvert too. I am sure wherever she is, she’d be very proud of Janhvi. What a sweet and confident girl she has turned out to be."

Sridevi and Vinod featured together in many films such as Zameen (1987), Patthar Ke Insaan (1990), Garajna and Farishtay (1991) among others.

A few days after Janhvi admitted to stalking Rahul he posted an almost nude photo of himself. In the picture, Rahul sat on a couch with a cushion on his lap. He wrote, "So, there's something I've been keeping under wraps--but it's now time to share! Join me tomorrow for the big reveal?"

Several celebrities reacted to the post, Malaika Arora commented, "Nice sofa." Neha Dhupia wrote, "Nice...socks!" Dia Mirza said, "Sofaaa so good!" Fashion Designer Prabal Gurung tagged Janhvi Kapoor and asked her, "And what do you have to say @JanhviKapoor".

Rahul was last seen in the 2019 Netflix web series Leila, which also starred Huma Qureshi. The show was directed by Deepa Mehta, Shanker Raman, and Pawan Kumar. Based on Prayaag Akbar's 2017 book of the same name Leila tells the tale of Shalini, a mother who searches for her lost daughter in a totalitarian society not too far in the future.
