Priyanka Chopra in splits after Jay Sean sings Shah Rukh Khan's Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna in English, watch

Priyanka Chopra was left in splits after Jay Sean sang the song Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna from Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, in English, in a new Instagram video. The international singer shared a video on his social media account with the title, "Classic Bollywood songs translated and sung in English," and sang the song based on the subtitles provided.

The video features the lines "Ye kudiyaan nashe di pudiyaan, ye munde gali de gunde" which literally translated to "These girls are packets of intoxication, these guys are the alley's gangsters." It was soon followed by the lines, "Mehndi laga ke rakhna, doli saja ke rakhna, lene tujhe o gori, aayenge tere sajna" which appeared as "Apply henna on your hands, decorate your doli (palanquin). To take away 'O beautiful', Your lover will come."

Jay Sean shared the video with the caption, "Not quite the same innit.️ I deeply apologize if I have ruined this song for ur forever. However I will continue to do these coz they give me jokes."

Priyanka Chopra took to the comments section to share her reaction. The actor wrote, "Hahahahahhaha," with Jay responding to her with a bunch of laughing emojis. Fans, too, couldn't help but laugh watching the hilarious video.

A fan commented, "Omg stopppp (but also I NEED MORE)." Another added, "Lol can't listen to this song normal any more." A third wrote, "I need more of these. Post Punjabi ones." A fourth said, "Raj was a true alley OG gangster in that movie. Lol."

Jay Sean and Priyanka Chopra have been friends for over a decade now. The duo was photographed partying together on numerous occasions. They were also seen celebrating Diwali together in 2016 as well.

Priyanka is currently stationed in London where she is working on her upcoming project, Citadel. The series is backed by Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo and stars Richard Madden in the lead as well.
