Navya Nanda features with Amitabh Bachchan in new ad, mom Shweta Bachchan reacts
Shweta Bachchan has reacted to a hording of her daughter Navya Naveli Nanda's first ad with grandfather Amitabh Bachchan.
Amitabh Bachchan and granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda have featured together in an ad for the first time. Amitabh's daughter Shweta Nanda spotted him and her daughter on a bank hoarding recently and took its picture. She shared it on her Instagram Stories and captioned it, “Nice expression Navya”. Navya Naveli Nanda has featured in an ad before but this is her first with Amitabh Bachchan. She is an entrepreneur, but has never shown any interest in becoming an actor. She works for women related social issues, such as menstruation, and had also launched a podcast, What The Hell Navya, last year. She interacted with her mom Shweta Bachchan and actor-grandmother Jaya Bachchan on the podcast as they discussed various topics, including financial literacy among women.
Navya has also not received any movie offers so far. She had told Brut India in an interview in January, “I think I am just not very good at it to be honest. I don’t believe you should do something for the sake of doing it. One, you should do it if you are 100 percent passionate about it. It’s not something I am passionate about. I think I am doing exactly what I love doing. Two, I wouldn’t be very good at it. I think my skill set lies elsewhere.”
Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan is resting at home, recovering from a rib injury he suffered on the sets of Project K last month. The 80-year-old actor recently took to Instagram and shared an old picture of him walking the ramp at a fashion show, hoping to get back to the grind soon. "Thank you for all the prayers and wishes for my recovery... I repair... hope to be back on the ramp soon," he wrote in the caption.
In a previous post on his blog, he said that he continues to be in "extreme pain". He wrote, “the rib continues in its painful journey .. but another erupts at the toe and draws attention greater than the rib .. so .. the rib diminishes and the attention drifts to the toe…a blister under the callus .. never heard or experienced before , but there it is and yes extreme pain.”
