Fukrey 3 poster confirms return of original cast sans Ali Fazal: Richa Chadha reunites with Manoj Singh, Pulkit Samrat

Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani have announced the return of the original Fukrey cast but it seems Ali Fazal will not be a part of the third instalment in the hit comedy franchise. The new posters feature all from Richa Chadha, Varun Sharma, Manoj Singh, Pulkit Samrat and Pankaj Tripathi but not Ali Fazal. Sharing two new posters of the film on Tuesday, Farhan Akhtar wrote on Twitter, “Iss baar hoga chamatkaar, straight from Jamnapaar! #Fukrey3 arriving in cinemas on 7th September, 2023 (This time the magic will have from across the banks of river Jamuna).” The film is scheduled to release around the Janmashtami weekend on September 7. It is being directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba.

The first poster shows Richa as former gangster Bholi Punjaban, sitting on a throne made of sugarcanes. Varun Sharma, who plays Choocha, is seen lying at her feet. Pankaj Tripathi and Pulkit Samrat are seated on each side of Richa while Manjot Singh, who plays Lali, is struggling behind the throne. Pankaj Tripathi plays Panditji and Pulkit Samrat plays Hunny in the film franchise.

The second poster shows all the male cast making a human pyramid to be able to climb a slanting brick wall. The baseline of the film read: ‘Ek naya chumatkar from Jamnapaar’.

Director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba had confirmed wrapping up the Fukrey 3 shoot in June last year. Sharing a picture of a cake with 'Fukrey 3 wrap' written on it, he had captioned it on Instagram, “It’s a WRAP #fukrey3. Thank you #teamfukrey3. You guys were awesome. Each and everyone of you fuk fuk fuk fuk. Will miss shoot madness for sure. OK bye.”

Talking about Fukrey 3, Varun Sharma had told India Today in August last year, "I think the film will be very amusing. This is one particular film that is very special for all of us. It was a start for all of us. Now to revisit the same character after so many years again and start off from where we left, has been remarkable. The film is going to be phenomenal and we are very excited about it."
