Raybag is the assembly constituency which comes under the Belgaum district. It is one of the 224 Karnataka Legislative Assembly Constituencies. Karnataka Assembly Election 2023 for Raybag will be held on May 10 and the result was declared on May 13.
In Karnataka Assembly Election 2018, there were 1,91,019 registered voters for Raybag assembly seat, out of which 99,026 were male and 91,978 were female voters. 0.6% of voters opted for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.
In the Karnataka Legislative Assembly Election 2018, Raybag constituency had 15 candidates for assembly seat contention. Raybag was one of 104 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Aihole Duryodhan Mahalingappa won the election by upstaging Indian National Congress's Pradeepkumar Ramu Malage by a margin of 16,548 votes.
The top three candidates split 95.9% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Aihole Duryodhan Mahalingappa secured a total of 67,502 votes, while Indian National Congress's Pradeepkumar Ramu Malage got 50,954 votes. Independent candidate Mahaveer Mohite bagged 24,627 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 45.2%, 34.1% and 16.5% respectively.
In Karnataka Assembly election 2013, Bharatiya Janata Party's Aihole Duryodhan Mahalingappa outperformed independent candidate Pradeep Ramu Malagi by 829 votes.
