Indian National Congress's candidate Santhosh Jayachandra grabbed the third spot with 45,893 votes. The top three parties got 38.8%, 33.0% and 25.6% respectively.
In Karnataka Assembly election 2013, Janata Dal (Secular)'s C.B.Sureshbabu outperformed Karnataka Jantha Paksha's J.C.Madhuswamy by 11,139 votes.
