Indian National Congress's Gamit Punabhai Dhedabhai got a total of 88,576 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Chaudhari Arvindbhai Rumsibhai secured 64,162 votes. Independent candidate Shankarbhai Babubhai Dhodia secured 1,473 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 56.4%, 40.8% and 0.9% respectively.
