Bharatiya Janata Party's Patkar Ramanlal Nanubhai got a total of 96,004 votes, while Indian National Congress's Patel Ashokbhai Mohnabhai got 54,314 votes. Communist Party Of India (Marxist)'s candidate Bochal Hasmukhbhai Ramanbhai grabbed 1,348 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties secured 61.9%, 35.0% and 0.9% respectively.
