Indian National Congress's Aarethiya Santokben Bhachubhai won the election by upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's Pankajbhai Anopchand Maheta by a margin of 15,209 votes.
The top two candidates split 89.6% of votes between them. Indian National Congress's Aarethiya Santokben Bhachubhai got a total of 63,814 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Pankajbhai Anopchand Maheta secured 48,605 votes. Nationalist Congress Party's candidate Gada Babulal Meghji secured 2,756 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 50.8%, 38.7% and 2.2% respectively.
