Patacharkuchi comes under the Barpeta district and it is one of the 126 Assam Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Patacharkuchi voted for Assam Assembly Election 2021 on April 6 and the result was declared on May 2.

The top three candidates split 86.4% of votes between them. Asom Gana Parisad's Pabindra Deka got a total of 64,558 votes, while independent candidate Sailen Kalita secured 12,582 votes. Indian National Congress's candidate Kamaleswar Medhi grabbed the third spot with 12,306 votes. The top three parties got 62.3%, 12.2% and 11.9% respectively.
In Assam Assembly election 2011, Bharatiya Janta Party's Manoranjan Das beat Asom Gana Parisad's Pabindra Deka by 4,581 votes.
